Ronald Price Showes was born January 1, 1958, in Cincinnati, OH, to Linda D Showes and the late Albert C Price. He was united in holy matrimony to Linda Gail Showes on May 6, 2000. He was a resident of Cincinnati for 48 years before moving to Providence, RI in 2006. He united with his heavenly Father on January 8, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital.
At an early age, he confessed Christ under leadership of his grandfather Bishop Cornelius Price. He received the evidence of the Holy Spirit under Evangelist Rosa Lee McElroy. He was ordained as a minister under the late Anthony Dixon of Oasis Ministries Church. He was a faithful member of the Harac Parech Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Norman Dock before leaving Cincinnati. In Providence, he joined the New Dimension Apostolic Center under the leadership of Pastor Theresa Goode. He was a hair stylist for over 35 years; known in the Cincinnati area as the "Hair Doctor". He then moved to Providence to work in the Special Needs Community.
His personality was warm, caring, and loving. He loved his family and would always thank God for sending him so many extended families in his life. Above all else, he loved God, He could be counted on to pray for and seek prayer for all who needed it.
He was preceded in death by his father Albert Price; his mother-in-law Gladys Evans; and two brothers, Kevin Showes and Darryl Price. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Linda D Showes; his wife Linda Gail Showes; one son, Rayshawn Showes; three brothers; Donald Showes, Keith (Adrian) Jackson, and Dwight Price. Ten sisters; Kim Showes, Pamela Abernathy, Dorothea Abernathy, Quentessa Showes, Corvette Warren, Linda (Jimmie) Showes-Davis, Bridgette Jackson, Johnetta Jay, Tonya Showes, and Rosalind Price. His father-in law, Rolen Evans, three brothers-in-law: Lucious, Broderick, and Kevin Kennedy. Two sisters-in-law; Jacqueline (Hilery) Johnson and Roslyn Wynn.
His RI spiritual family: Donna Sams and Brianna Nyirendah... Two long-time friends Vernon Howard and Cheryl Yarbrough-Howard, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing Saturday, January 18th from 2-4 pm in the Skeffington Funeral Home and Cremations, 925 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence.
